Multiple sclerosis (or MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary from one person to another. MS is thought to be an autoimmune disorder, which means the immune system incorrectly attacks the person’s healthy tissue. MS can cause a varied range of symptoms that include blurred vision, loss of balance, poor coordination, slurred speech, tremors, numbness, extreme fatigue, problems with memory and concentration, paralysis, blindness and more. These problems may be everlasting or may come and go. Approximately 400,000 Americans have MS, and every week about 200 people are diagnosed. World-wide, MS affects about 2.5 million people.

“Hearing the facts of how many people are affected by this disease was astounding,” said Lane Mendelsohn, Publisher of TraderPlanet.com. “Millions are coping with multiple sclerosis, which has no cure to date. Through our financial contributions, efforts and support, advances in treating and understanding MS are made every year, and progress in research to find a cure is promising. We are proud to be a part of the solution.”
