Market Technologies Makes a Donation to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training
Wesley Chapel, FL, February 4, 2013 – Market Technologies, developer of VantagePoint Intermarket Analysis Trading Software, made a financial contribution to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training. Funds raised go toward finding cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. It is estimated that over one million people in the United States are living with, or are in remission from, leukemia, Hodgkin lymphoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, or myeloma. Someone new is diagnosed with blood cancer approximately every four minutes. Leukemia (and its related diseases) causes more deaths than any other cancer among people under the age of 20.
Sheena Cisneros, a friend of Market Technologies, is running in the Nike Women’s Half Marathon in Washington, D.C. to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She is also running in honor and memory of cancer patients (past and present), including a 13-year-old girl who is battling leukemia.
“If people can battle cancer every single minute of every single day, then I can do this to try to help them. Running a half marathon is nothing compared to the struggles they go through. It’s the least I can do,” said Cisneros.
