Market Technologies Announces Record 2nd Quarter Revenue
Wesley Chapel, FL, August 6, 2004 — Market Technologies, a privately-held firm and the leading provider of intermarket analysis futures trading software, achieved record revenue for the second quarter ended June 30, 2004, Louis B. Mendelsohn, President and Chief Executive Officer announced today. Compared to 2Q 2003 revenue, Mr. Mendelsohn indicated that “on a year-over-year basis 2Q 2004 revenue was 38% higher than the same quarter in the prior year”.
Mr. Mendelsohn noted that “a record number of traders came on board as VantagePoint Intermarket Analysis Software customers in 2003. These traders have now had an opportunity to use the software on a regular basis and are sharing their excitement about the program’s predictive accuracy with other traders. Now in 2004, we are receiving more inquiries about our software than at any time in the past”. Mr. Mendelsohn sees this trend continuing as futures traders continuously seek the type of competitive advantage that VantagePoint gives them.
Michael P. Mathews, Chief Operating Officer noted that “growth for the first six months of 2004 is 50% above the same period in 2003, putting us in excellent position to meet our annual revenue goal”. Mr. Mathews indicated that Market Technologies’ superior infrastructure contributes significantly to the record-setting growth. “Our sales team is extremely skilled at demonstrating how the software can be tailored to meet an individual trader’s style and objectives, while our technical support department does an excellent job with customer assistance. He reaffirmed that the company would continue to expand and upgrade its infrastructure in order to keep abreast of the substantial growth in VantagePoint users around the world.
