Market Technologies Honored as the 29th Fastest Growing Private Company in Florida

Orlando, FL December 3, 1999 — Market Technologies was honored this evening at the Fourth Annual Florida 100 Awards Dinner as one of the Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies in the State of Florida. The Florida 100 is sponsored by the University of Florida with support from Deloitte & Touche, Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Raymond James & Associates, which sponsored meetings prior to the dinner on various subjects pertinent to the Florida 100 Companies including “Going Public”, “Seeking Venture Capital”, and “Developing Effective e-Business Strategies”.

The Florida 100 Awards Dinner was held in Orlando at the Omni Rosen Hotel. Charles Young, President of the University of Florida, welcomed Mr. Mendelsohn and the other top executives receiving awards, then introduced The Honorable Jeb Bush, Governor of Florida, as the Keynote Speaker. Accepting the award on behalf of Market Technologies for ranking 29th out of the top 100 companies, was Mr. Louis B. Mendelsohn, President & Chief Executive Officer.

Governor Bush spoke extemporaneously about private enterprise in the State of Florida and the important role of entrepreneurship in building Florida’s economy in the 21st century. The Governor expressed his congratulations to the honorees, saying “I want to congratulate you for your incredible success and hope that you will continue to be successful.” During the evening, Mr. Mendelsohn had an opportunity to chat privately with the Governor, who was presented with a plaque by the President of the University of Florida, in appreciation for the Governor’s commitment to the Florida 100 project.

The Florida 100 Companies had a average 3-year growth rate of 221% and average 1998 revenue of nearly $10.0 million dollars, with an average of 68 employees. The total 1998 revenue of the Florida 100 Companies was nearly one billion dollars.
