My New Normal
In this era of COVID and our need to be careful, I have a new normal. Do you too?
For many people, the idea of working from home seemed like a magical way to work – the 4-second commute, no shoes required, and snacks just steps away. Until it became a reality.
For me, I love the energy of our office, the positivity of my team, the true excitement we all have when we’re together. Deploying everyone to work from home was a bit of an adjustment!
I knew it was going to be a little challenging (although my team has handled it better than I ever could have imagined) and I spent a lot of time thinking about how to support everyone to get through it.
Since we’ve been up and running remotely without a hitch for months now, it was time to address one area in my personal life that really needed attention – my hair!
It had grown so long I had wings! And there was no way, being a cancer survivor, I was going to risk a trip to a barber. But my wife Mandi agreed to take over those duties; it was definitely time for a trim and she was willing to step up and help. I was worried if my ears would come through intact, but I trust Mandi 100%.
Much better don’t you think?
Since I’m not out and about, it was easy to let my hair get long because no one would notice. But it’s important as we work our way through this unusual time in our lives to maintain things that help us feel “normal.”
