Market Technologies Wins Tampa Bay Technology Fast 50 Award for the 2nd Consecutive Year
Wesley Chapel, FL, July 27, 1999 — Louis B. Mendelsohn, President and Chief Executive Officer, announced today that Market Technologies, a privately-held investment software firm, was notified today that it is the recipient of the prestigious 1999 Tampa Bay Technology Fast 50 Award. According to Mr. Mendelsohn “this is the second year in a row that Market Technologies has received this award. It is a clear indication that we must be doing something right”.
The annual Fast 50 award is sponsored nationally by the Big Five accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP. Local sponsors include the Tampa Bay Partnership For Regional Economic Development, Marsh & McLennan, the University of South Florid Office for Corporate Development, the Maddux Report, and the Florida law firm of Fowler, White, Gillen, Boggs, Villareal and Banker, P.A. The Tampa Bay Technology Fast 50 is a ranking of the region’s 50 fastest growing technology companies, both public and private, out of more than 3,000 technology-related firms in the region, based on percentage growth in revenues over a five-year period. The Tampa Bay region comprises the seven counties of Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota, including the metropolitan cities of Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater, Florida. In his July 27, 1999 letter to Mr. Mendelsohn announcing the award, Mr. Stuart L. Rogel, President of the Tampa Bay Partnership Regional Research and Education Foundation, offered his “congratulations on winning this prestigious award that is an industry benchmark for success!”. According to Mr. Rogel, Market Technologies “made the 1999 Tampa Bay Technology Fast 50 list as one of the fastest growing technology-related companies in the Tampa Bay area” and indicated that Market Technologies “company information has already been submitted to Deloitte & Touche’s National Technology Fast 500” for consideration as one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in the United States. According to the alphabetical listing of the 1999 Tampa Bay Technology Fast 50 award winners which was enclosed with Mr. Rogel’s letter, other companies among the 1999 Fast 50 include: Intermedia Communications, Jabil Circuit, Inc., Sykes Enterprises, Inc., and Tech Data Corp. Mr. Rogel’s letter to Mr. Mendelsohn indicated that on September 21, 1999 the actual ranking of the fifty winners will be revealed for the first time at an awards dinner at the Tampa Convention Center, and that Market Technologies participation in the Fast 50 will be featured in the Maddux Report, Tampa Bay’s monthly business magazine, and in the Tampa Bay Technology Directory, a Partnership publication focused on the region’s technology issues.
