The Synchronicity of Being Commended on International Women’s Day
Many people don’t realize that while my father created the software and back-testing theory that revolutionized the trading industry, his background was also in social work. His thoughtfulness of other people was instilled in me and my brothers. And today, my girls are dedicated to the same ideals. I’ll go even further and add that my entire team is committed to helping our traders and our community too.
On March 8th, my family was asked to attend the Pasco County Board of Commissioners meeting. We were presented with a proclamation recognizing Vantagepoint A.I. as a vital part of our community and our commitment to philanthropy was also recognized. It’s one of our family’s core values that my youngest daughter, Abby, added to our company core values – kindness.

As I said at the commission meeting, it was appropriate that we were presented this award on the International Day of Women. My mom, Illyce, and my wife, Mandi, have both been integral in the success of our company; and, my daughters are the future leaders learning what’s important and how to maintain our company’s ethics and success. This past year both of my daughters, Rachael and Abby, each took on their own philanthropy projects. They are also participants in all of our company-wide meetings and events, and they are even learning how to trade (with supervision.) The girls also have their own business selling eggs from their chickens!
It takes a variety of skills to not only run a business but to do so in a way that helps improve the lives of the people who own your product, your team, and your neighbors. I am humbled at the opportunities we’ve been given to be a force for good for so many people. I am excited about the future too.
It was an honor to be recognized by our local government and I hope our family’s commitment and our company’s values can inspire other people in our local business community to step up too. The smallest things we do can make a huge difference for others!
